Why Does Our Families Need Bible Morals Nowadays
It is a wonder how modern technology is serving mankind in today’s age, however, it is also a fact that it has its own disadvantages in the impact it made in our lives. It is observed in some instances that it has become less of a tool for our convenience but rather an arbiter of how people live their day to day lives.
The same observation in the fields of media, politics, sports and in our work, where the opportunities of technology have changed our views when it comes to our pride and conviction. It is fair to say that in a very segmented and over populated world today, we easily can lose sight of what is right and what is wrong. Fortunately for us, we still have the Holy Bible to show us and guide us the right way.
There are now also many websites and self-help magazines to guide an individual to be at his or her best and righteous self. You will notice as you read further at the messages and philosophies of these materials that they have one thing in common, and that is the messages in the Holy Bible.
As a moral touchstone for thousands of generations that passed, the Bible is used in all cultures and all religions. The relevance of the teachings in the Bible, like ways to live an honorable life and knowing right from wrong, are applicable in the past and even to our present and future society.
Historians are studying and dissecting for years on the reasons of the downfall and rise of a culture and country. Their researches revealed that a family’s success is the heart and main reason of all these situations.
The rock of civilization is said to have been the family, and this means love and respect of which a family is built on.
Not only will love and respect serve a family during trials, but also by having a strong and shared moral beliefs, of having a sense on what is right and what is wrong, and these will be a guide in fulfilling a family’s mission in life.
And so, in some society where there is fragmentation of beliefs, it is best that we have a guide for the moral well-being of a family to keep it strong.
It cannot be denied that the present and future success of an individual can be traced back to a strong moral perspective of his or her family. This being said, with an early strong moral beliefs and understanding, a child will be guided as he or she grows older and begins shaping his or her future.
“No one can serve two masters, bad company ruins good morals, and you shall love your neighbor as yourself” are just among the morals that are written in the Bible.
